Don't Save Me

Don't Save Me

A Poem by Sunshine Kid

 Don’t save me

my head may be spinning

I may see double

triple

everything may seem

too bright

my questions may have

no answers

but don’t save me

never save me.

I may never get

what I need

I may never see the light

of the day created

for me

I may let my naivety

suffocate me

but don’t save me

never save me.

I may wake up to the

moon

and I may love

unconditionally

I may want more than

you can give

but don’t save me

never save me.

I’ll see what I want

I’ll face my demons

I’ll see you the way I

wish to

I’ll worry

I’ll cry for your

happiness

I’ll expect too much

from you

but I won’t save myself

I’ll never save myself.
