Lamentful Letters

Lamentful Letters

A Poem by Kayla K
"

Parents are oblivious. Open your eyes.

"

Dear mom,

I'm writing this to tell you,

that I am not perfection.

And well I have your attention,

there's a few things I should mention.

~*~

That scar upon my forearm,

it is not from the cat.

That scar is from a razor,

from where the blade once sat

~*~

Yes, I have felt love

I know that it exists

And yes love has hurt me

I still have all the scars

They sit upon my wrists

~*~

Music is my escape.

Poetry, my savior

All the words I write,

they are words of a bleeder

~*~

To you, I am a stranger

My thoughts are unknown

You have failed to notice,

that I always feel alone.

~*~

It's alright, dear mother,

because I still love you

You're a smart brave lady.

But when it comes to me,

you don't have a clue.

About
I'm a cyclone of myself, a caterpillar delight still finding my wings. A balloon stuck up in the clouds, no one can bring me down from my high. Shattered into pieces, be careful when you pick .. more..
