Author's Note

My dear friends, I can't express my love for each and every one of you enough. You've touched my life, and that's the only thing that matters.

Kate - We've only became friends this year, yet you know practically everything about me. With you, I can be myself, not some fake human being acting as if the world is a lovely place, because you and I can both agree that sometimes the world isn't so great. And when it's not so great, we have each other to rely on.

Abbie - You've gone through so much this year. Anger surges through you, and sometimes it's released on you. But I don't blame you. The cancer did not only hit your mom, it hit you too, maybe even harder. We've had more than our share of fights, but I still do love you. You're beautiful and strong, and I know you can get through this.

Sean - Best friends since first grade, we've never had any actual fights, besides arguments at student council (StuCo). We've fought through all the rumors and the tears. We were there for each other when Chris passed away. Four more years wandering these halls, and then we're off into the real words. You better stay in touch.

Nate - If I had to tell you anything, it would be that she loves you, she really does. No matter how paranoid you ever become, I know Kate loves you, and you'll be together forever. It doesn't matter to her if you're not "cool". Kate only cares about what's inside, and there's goodness inside of you.

Ali - You've been through so much, and my teenage mind cannot even fully comprehend it. One of the most important things you've showed me is that parents really can be good, because you're a good parent right now. Your children are lucky to have you as a mother.

Robin - You help people wherever you go. Some of the things you've done for your sister amaze me and show me that you really do care. You're a great person and writer, and you've inspired me quite a bit. Keep capturing moments throughout your life.

Tay - You're such a strong person, but your insecurities eat you alive. You want to change yourself to impress others, when nobody thinks you need to change. You're wonderful how you are, and someday you'll make your mark on this world. I know things are rough right now, but I will help you through it all, I promise.

Matt - I'm not part of your "group". Yet you've taken me in and been there for me. Even when I criticize you about idiotic things, you forgive me immediately when I apologize, even if I don't deserve it. You're an amazing person who I'm glad to have in my life.

Courtney - There's a million things I can say about you, and you know a lot of them. You helped me get through a tough time in my life, just with your words. You inspired me to write, which ended up saving me from myself. You've taken me under your wing, showing me the world and it's wonders. You are my savior. Thank you.

An extra note to Sean, Kate, and Nate - We're all being attacked with grenades of drama. It's tough, but we're going to make it. We have to. Who cares what the others say? The four of us are best friends, and we always will be.
