Seasons

Seasons

A Poem by SweeTLoU

New with life warm like spring
Love can blossom and the birds will sing
The Bitter cold seems to go away
when the flame burns like a summer day

Soon enough before your eyes
The flame will fade and slowly die
Extinguished by the cold of winter
The absence of its warmth stings like a splinter
You're left in waiting for the ice to melt
to rekindle the flame which you once felt

You try so hard to find a way
Back to the warmth of a summer day
Before you know it you're back to spring
New love blossoms and new birds sing
You nurture the fire to make it last
Remembering the cold of winters past
Nothing stays the same for a reason
There's beauty in the pain of changing seasons....
