An Ode to William Shakespeare

An Ode to William Shakespeare

A Poem by Terrence Chang
"

A tribute to the man named William Shakespeare

"
William Shakespeare
You are not born to shake
Or hold the spear
So you chose a pen in your hand
And wrote whatever came out,
Out of your glands
You used a pun
And I got stunned
The words you play
Are boldest to say
You are never to forget
But hard to get
From Tempest to Macbeth
Always left me sway
The respect that you built
Is a tower of creativity
Of no ones ability
Whether it was a warning from a soothsayer
Or the tragedy of King Lear
William Shakespeare
What a man of excellence
Who told many stories with brilliance

Thanks a lot Madala for your generous review towards me
Nice tribute to one of the greatest writer's of all-time. Simple, but nice, and it shows that you know the person you are complimenting.

I chose to read it after seeing the Kenneth Branaugh version of Hamlet yesterday. I recommend that film btw if you haven't seen it already. It's famous for using almost every line from the play. It's long, but if you like Shakespeare, it is the best version of it.
