Ex-Best friend

This is about me and my best friend Brett. Brett you may hate me, but I love you so so much<3

Late at night I lay in my bed,
One million things running through my head.

Thinking about the past,
Why that friendship didn't last.

Thinking about the stars,
And how we claimed the brightest one as ours.

Thinking about the coffee and carrots,
And how we would get a pair of ferrets.

Thinking about the time we stayed up at night and played our favorite video games,
And when we came up with baby names.

Thinking about the time we did eachothers hair,
Talking about when you rode that mare.

Thinking about the jokes we had,
I don't even remember why I'm mad.

Come on, please. Can we make this relationship mend?
You were, you are my very best friend.
Can we put this stupid fight to an end?

It's almost the eighth week,
Remember that scar on your left cheek?

Brett, This is my plea,
Can you just forgive me?

This is such a sweet poem....I don't know why your friend wouldn't forgive you after this. I have had friends fight or turn their backs to me. I'll be the first to admit that it hurts a lot. I hope things between you get better. Friendships with good people matter a lot. Good luck!

I almost cried. I have had many friends come and go and there are many that I miss. It is always hard when friendships end. I have written a few poems on this myself. I try rhyming poetry but it never seems to work for me. For you, it works! I am extremely impressed. If this is about a real person then I would urge you to show it to your former friend. Perhaps the friendship can be mended after all.

This is so sad. I think that it is really sweet that you are trying so hard to fix something that matters to you. Amazing job on the poetry. I felt like I was feeling the same emotions as you are. That is one of the ways that you know someones writing is good.
