Just Because (By T. Pina)

Just Because (By T. Pina)

A Poem by PENS FOR PEACE /TJ CALIFORNIA
"

A poem of inspiration to help one walk through a valley of despair

"

Just because

You've been stabbed through your heart once, doesn't mean you have to go out and destroy another.

Just because

You've been abused in life, doesn't mean you have to go out and abuse others.

Just because

Others have turned your world up side down in pure misery,

doesn't mean you have to live in that misery forever.

Just because

You lived in a war torn world for so long, doesn't mean you have

to be a war monger!

Just because

A b*****d once broke your heart, doesn't mean you have to be

a heart breaker!

Just because

Disaster and grief has destroyed your entire world, doesn't mean you shouldn't try to comfort others that are going through their worst of times.

 Just because

you have been treated like s**t in your life, doesn't mean you always have to throw it back at others and treat them the same!

The cemeteries are full with people who have no problems, pain or strife.

No one ever promised us that this ride we call life, would ever be simple or nice.

Yet one thing is for sure in life and that's, greatness is not measured by how long you lived but by how you lived instead.

Tough times never last but tough people do.

Violence will always breed violence and hatred will always too.

The difference between dreamers and great ones is that the great ones can always perceive beyond their dark clouds of despair and struggles to see the rainbow of hope in their lives.

What goes around comes around, that has been written in the stars.

If you try to plant seeds of true love and kindness,

your blessing will never be far.

So be great in your life by dreaming way beyond human expectations.

Always, live life with passion, dare to believe in yourself and watch

your dreams come true.

If it happened to me my friend in my lifetime, then it most certainly will happen to you.

Author's Note

PENS FOR PEACE /TJ CALIFORNIA
My 2nd poem.
The first part was written to always remind me that nothing good ever breeds from violence or hatred (except the same) the 2nd part is just a ray of hope for all those going through pain and despair in their lives!

Every word the truth but this line especially caught my attention especially in the now that I am living.
"Tough times never last but tough people do." Dusting off my 'tough' as I leave here. I write often times as you have here, as a reminder to myself. I really enjoyed this. I am sorry I have not been able to drop in on you sooner. Have a great week.

Blessings,
Lesa

Fantastic! Full of insightful wisdom to remind us that no matter what life throws at us
we should never give up. Its when we are on our knees thinking we can't do it anymore
and we possibly couldn't get anymore down, it's then, through the grace of whoever we choose to
call God, we find our strength again. At least that's what I've found!

Keep penning poet....your talent shines through this write.

Thank you for submitting this to my loneliness contest.

Oh man, I couldn't agree more! Absolutely! Been there, done that, got the scars and the tee shirt to prove it, and yet, I don't wish it on anybody and I try very hard to never treat anyone the same as I have been treated but rather with kindness and an open mind...for that is how the world SHOULD be.

Terrific write! Great job! LOVE IT and I am definitely capturing this in my merry band of favorites!

I like this. It is true that violence will only beget more violence unless someone makes a conscious choice to break the vicious cycle. And it IS a vicious cycle - a vicious cycle that genuinely freaks me out at times. I think this poem captured the urgency of needing to break such a cycle - what a great job for it only being your second poem!

Much wisdom here - for certain! I like tough times never last but tough people do.... yup - that really made me nod.... good write - You have lots of good lines here that might grow into their own poems - think about it!

Why doesn't everyone is this world see the truth behind these words. I grew up in a very disfunctional life but made a conscious choice not to wallow in my raising but instead to raise myself up out of it and break the cycle for my own children. I have been successful at that. In your writings, you seem to be a man of great hope even when life keeps slapping you around. That is very admirable. Thanks for sharing.

I did, and I didn't. But fact in it's message. Good work with words to express feelings. Small hurts are at times worse than big hurts...the only difference is the small hurts heal faster. I will read again and pass on another review. Right now just not where I wish to be.

Ha, I was about to say I think you've got two mixed up here and it fuzzled my head...but then I saw your Note!

I think everyone somewhere should think about what they do and why they do things. I wish everyone that had a hard childhood or life or whatever, could take those bad moments and make sure it didn't happen again. Frustratingly so many just follow the circle, repeat repeat.

Good write indeed.
