Prophecy

Prophecy

A Poem by TitaniumStar
"

A Prophecy that someone spectacular and amazing are coming to the Kingdom. Can they uphold their greatness?

Pro

There was a prophecy in the kingdom

That the next born would be courageous,

That they’d be smart

That they’d be beautiful without compare

The next one born was the King’s Daughter

As she grew she glimmered

As she grew she was bright

As she grew she was told she was special

Years came and gone and The Princess grew wiser

It was then she realized I can overcome anything

It was then she realized I can outsmart anyone

It was then she realized she could use this to her advantage

More years came and went and The Princess grew greedy

She twisted fates of those around her with promises of glory and treasure

She melded minds of those around her to do bidding towards thoughts of something greater

She became corrupt and felt her soul envelope into darkness

There was a prophecy in the kingdom

That the next born would be better than the Princess

That they’d be more courageous, smarter, and more beautiful

And the Princess wouldn’t compare

The next born was a Peasant Girl

As she grew her life was rough

As she grew she worked hard for things she earned

As she grew, people were confused of the Prophecy

“Surely, not her”

“This cannot be true”

And the Princess laughed maliciously

As she thought the Peasant Girl to be ruined

The Princess went to the Peasant Girl, to end her just incase

And when within arms reach,

The Peasant Girl, reached first

placing a hand on The Princess cheek

Soft words spoken as a single tear from the Princess fell

Washing away all the pressure

Washing away all the hate

Washing away all the loneliness

The Princess had accumulated to this date

The Peasant Girl knew,

The Princess wasn’t special

But that they were both held

To Unachievable High Standards
