A Poem by T.K. Clay

Just a poem about rain.

It's water that falls from the sky
That's it.
So why
Literally why
Do people use it to make things seem deep
And metaphorical
And stuff?
I mean, sure it can make a day worse
But all you're doing is getting drenched
That's not really sad.
Sports get cancelled, yeah
And you get cold
But seriously
Rain is not objectively sad.
Floods are sad
And kids and puppies drown
Isn't that sad?
If you answered no
You're either heartless or have a really weird fetish
In which case
Get the f**k away from me
And into the rain
And catch a cold
You freak.
Now that that guy's gone
What was I saying?
I don't know
But I should go inside
Because it's raining
And cold
And you can see my n*****s through my wet shirt
My hairy man n*****s.
Is not a sad sight.
My soaking n*****s

Haha I wish I had written something like this first!! Just kidding, of course, but I definitely would have at some point. I always thought the same exact thing; it kind of annoys me the way people complain about rain and say it puts them in a bad mood. Like you said, when you think about it, there's nothing inherently sad about it. It's just water that falls from the sky!:)
