Your Hand To Mine

Your Hand To Mine

A Poem by TTBoy28

Watching my life go by

Right before your Lilly white lies

My dear, I wonder why

You do it after hearing all my cries

I can’t tell You enough

It hurts me so

Like a pillow I fluff

Asleep your heart does go

It’s such a sad day

Raining inside my house

When I can’t find a different way to say

“I Love You” to my spouse

I gave my all

Maybe, it was too much

I know we’re headed for a fall

If only I could touch

(CHORUS)

Your Hand To Mine

The sun would shine

Let’s make sweet wine

Like it was summertime

Accept my kiss

Create some bliss

I promise I won’t miss

Again, let’s not end up like this

Feel me again, remember when

We used to love like sin

Don’t try and hide

that You need a new ride

Hold on tight

Don’t let go

And if we just might fight

I’ll just love you more

Right now,

It ain’t easy

Trying to milk a cow

That’s just too damn greasy

Maybe I’ll wash my hand

If it’ll help You understand
