Still My Thrill

Still My Thrill

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

Baby darling, sweet baby.  I feel your love inside my heart.
Dear baby, oh sweet darling baby.
Your love thrills me.  Make me jump every time you and I
bump to the grind.
I can't get that thrill with no other.
Baby boy, yes, you are my dearest friend to the end.
Beauty it was in our beginnings of tales.
Love I fell in the middle, then you played me like a fiddle.
tweedle dee dum de dum dum your the dumb one.
Love notes, I proposed!
String'd me along with that same ol' love song.
When it gave me the blues, I had to choose.
Karma's a b*tch on a bungee string.
I'll be the last woman to sing, "You're still a girl's thrill."

long as you understand and can relate, thanks for the kind review.
I love the blues feel to this. Its real with a story unraveling before the reader. Heartache with stylistic delivery. Nice work.

yeah it is Karma, n some can't handle it. thanks for the kind review.
Aloha Roxane, a scathing and gutsy write. The band plays on as does life. I love the bluesy feel of this, so on point. Sometimes a girl just needs a new song to sing.

Aloha Island Hippy, thanks for the kind write in response.
I definitely feel this one Roxane. You have to swing and sway with the flow, rhythm and musicality of it. Your lines are brilliant- “Karma’s a b*tch on a bungee string.” Every word cutting sharp and true. The player finally gets played. Last line slays. I’m saving this for sure. Superb!

Baby, lady, oh steady hands and get wavy... Hah, loved this sh*t, just like karma loves to lay us in bricks... Better get a bungee cord before I hit earth... Thrillingly penned...
