Just a Squirrel

Just a Squirrel

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

My Lord, this is your world.
Remember me, I'm that squirrel.
Nutty as a fruitcake.
Let's take view in light of you.
Demons I can't do.
What is a world for a squirrel?
Humans like unlike you, are mess
up too!

Jump tree to tree, freely.
That's how I like to be.
Humans won't let love.
In my own fantasy.
To each from above.
Dem peoples like to disturb peace,
trees and me.
Oh no, Lord, make ease.
This world and me.
I'm on your time.
I know things will be fine.

This is so lovely :) Humans have a lot to answer for and strikes me the animal kingdom may just have more consciousness and wisdom than most give them credit for :)
