The Lonely Little Room

The Lonely Little Room

A Poem by Chris

In a lonely little room

Sits a lonely little man

Writing lonely little words

To feel less alone

Thoughts and emotions dance

They dance and sing in mind

Then on paper

Bringing alive

The perpetual feeling of death

Bright colors flood into

The windows of the room

The soul flourishes

Like a desert in downpour

Alright, everything feels alright

Sadness, true heartache creeps in

Slowly, maniacally, a monster

It rages and roars

It cries desperate little tears

And dampens the paper

Washing away the ink

Nothing is left

But the lonely little room

And the lonely little man

Feeling so very alone.

If you have the capacity to write are you ever really alone?

What is consciousness?

Well damn wooden chair, getting philosophical on me
Quite a mind's image you've planted.
