You came to see me today

You came to see me today

A Poem by Tabby Mac
"

Leading with love can be hard, especially when those you love are unhealthy.

"
You came to see me today.
I hate to see you this way.
It takes all I have to hold back the tears.
You have been in this cell for years.
Call it denial, call it pride
How long will you let it lock you inside?
The lies you tell...
The lies you believe...
Deceive, deceive, deceive!
You have to know that I know the truth.
Do you think me that aloof?
Sometimes I ponder joining in your charade
Just to see you as normal for a day.
Instead I secretly pray.
Please have mercy and open her eyes.
Don’t let her be the victim of her own demise.
Help me to me gentle and kind and love her
Beyond what I can mind.
She can’t see she is blind.
You came to see me today.
I hate to see you this way.
It takes all I have to hold back the tears.

denial hurts everyone involved...
a suicide of honesty and everyone dies just a little...
powerful words, Tabby.
