Save HerA Poem by Alex FigueroaFor my daughterA mid-summers day Leaves flowing, trees fraying Gentle breeze whispering nay A room, a pillow, a bed, a picture A husband, a wife, a daughter A teddy bear beside the frame A shadow dwells over the bear A hand reaches out, suddenly being stopped Two rings shine, fingers locked The glass of the frame cracks Canyons ripple across the heirs visage A weeping sparrow, eggs cracked Wrapping arms around the mother goddess Heavens opening to welcome the arrival A soul as pure as light my rest at last A couple may start anew From the ashes rise again, a phoenix But until then mi hija, lo siento...im so sorry...
