Star-Seeing and Open Windows

Star-Seeing and Open Windows

A Poem by TadKent
"

Lyrics to a song I wrote. Wish you could hear me play it. ; )

"

Marie saw a star

Somewhere not far from here

It winked out goodbye,

as it sailed through the sky...

Somwhere on Earth

A little girl started to smile.

It stretched far and wide,

anyone could see it for miles.

Maybe you'll see her,

Lookin' out her window?

Searching for hope

Or maybe a star-show...

Maybe a star-show?

Brad saw the sun

It was a little too bright for his eyes

He only came out at night,

Where he knew he could hide...

Alone in his room,

A little boy started to cry.

Face to the bed,

He'd always wonder why?

Maybe you'll see him

Lookin' out his window?

Searching for hope

Or maybe a star-show...

Maybe a star-show?

Maybe you'll see me

Lookin' out my window?

Searching for hope

Or maybe a star-show...

Maybe a star-show?

I really like this part a lot. I like the whole poem of course, but I don't know, I really like that part. I can imagine it easily. The ending is brilliant too. Great poem. I'd love to hear it with the piano going along with it. :)

Great piece... I love lyrics that aren't too repetitive, but are still consistent, so this was perfect. :)
I can almost imagine this set to music, which doesn't happen often when I'm reading lyrics... must be wonderful when played.
Excellent piece. :)

Wouls love to hear the music - once again! Nice lines. Reminds me of a dream I had last night where I woke myself up laughing when a woman said 'Stop windowing my window!' - Not sure why that struck me so funny. Nice one. Thanks for sharing your talent.

I like this, it's cute. It probably would sound better with music. I tried to put music when I read it, but that didn't work out that well lol.

Reading it and going with the flow was nice, but trying to find a rhythm to go with it, not so good *hopeless actually. But this song was beautiful, kinda fairy-tale like, or maybe that's just me. Rad write,

I would definitely love to hear that on piano! Really like the first 2 stanzas.

Somwhere on Earth
A little girl started to smile.
It stretched far and wide,
