Easy, Tiger...

Easy, Tiger...

A Poem by TadKent
"

A bit of an angry song I wrote a while ago. To hear it, go here: http://www.myspace.com/thetadkentproject . Not as "pretty" as my other stuff. Comment or whatever for explanation on song title. = ]

"

I heard about

The way you say you're gone inside...

And all about,

the way you die when I walk by.

I wonder if

there's times I ever cross your mind

Or if you've thought

about the day you said goodbye

Someday it will all catch up to you

Whether you like it or not

You say that we're all over,

Well I agree.

There's now way to start it up again

Get over the way you hate me.

It's clear that we're all done

It's too much of you to ask of me

Just wait and see...

I wonder when

You come around to realise...

There's no need to yell

I've always been on your side.

A mystery,

that I'm a monster in your eyes.

I wish you'd see

I was waiting in plain sight

I'm standin' right in front of you

whether you like it or not...

You say that we're all over,

Love, I agree.

There's no way to start it up again

I'm over the way you hate me

It's clear that we're all done.

It's too much of you to ask of me,

just wait and see-

And as I walk across this place

I'm sure that i'm the only one,

That should avoid that hateful gaze.

You say the we're all over,

Well I agree.

There;s no way to start it up again,

I'm over the way you hate me.

It's clear that we're all done.

It's too much of you to ask of me

Just wait and see.

There's quite a bit of anger in here but I see it more as emotional hurt than anything destructive or vindictive. The reprtition of 'no way to start it up again' rings a little like a phrase that's been said to you and you're repeating it like a mantra in order to hold back feelings or cling to false hope. I liked this a lot.

Anger clearly shows, but a good sort of vent, and I can picture this as a song.
If you want to correct these:
I think you meant no instead of 'now' in this line. "There's now way to start it up again"
In this line a apostrophe in the word There's, a simple typo that passes the eye. "There;s no way to start it up again,"

This is absolutely gorgeous.
You know how I feel about the song anyway. =)
There's just such a note of finality to this--like "It's really over."
Maybe one party of the relationship didn't get the memo until later, but it's over and it's been over. It's really awesome that I re-stumbled upon this when I did, considering the things I'm going through. I love the emotional tone to this.

There's now way to start it up again - typo. 'no'

There;s no way to start it up again, - There's

(I'm actually listening to the song right now as well). Just from listening to the lyrics, it sounds really beautiful. And I was going to write out more for a little review - but I can't really think of anything decent to put down for you. So, I'll leave it that. You're a good song writer, and you convey everything really well in your music. :]

I detect anger being vented throughout the poem. The confrontation must have brought up some deep memories.

I can sense the anger in this, but you've made your anger and hurt beautiful.
You write beautiful words.
