So much better to have loved

So much better to have loved

A Poem by Talliesin

Tremble as a top spinning,
To think is to slow the dance,
Pain is but are a vague sketching,
Joy will excite your ever more,
Jumping often lands in falling,
Falling often jumps again,
If fear wraps your eyes in dew drops,
More often will you feel the same,
And water is a poor companion,
Tricking slow from unfair eyes,
The smiles have left you marks of beauty,
Salted tears will never last,
The sunlight goldens hurt to sleep,
And wrinkled cheeks ne'er forget your joy.
