All Hallows Eve

All Hallows Eve

A Poem by Tam Warink
"

Some things are just not fit to print.

"

All Hallows Eve

In the beginning there was the word

And the word was ALONE.

The word divided and became TWO.

TWO became MANY ...

MANY became LEGION and

LEGION became

WAR,
FAMINE,
FLOOD, and
PESTILENCE.

All things were consumed until

There was only ONE.

And the word was ALONE.

I have been savoring this for a couple days now.
I just wanted you to know that these words reflect some of my random thoughts.
I love how you put these lines together.
Even though I know not yet how, I can say, This is very useful in helping me organize some of my thoughts into this.
When some more pieces fall into a clearer picture for me, I shall return and share my added thoughts.
Till then, My Friend ;-)
Did I say Thank You?

This has got to be one of the most philosophical, profound and uniquely crafted poems I read. The symmetry of phrase reads quite nicely and is very unique penned. Great write!

Thank you, Gleb. Those are generous words. Welcome.
I would admire the symmetry if I knew how to spell it and frame it fearlessly.

Really great to read, especially the way the beginning and end tie in together full circle.

Oh, why thank you, GW! :)
There is many layers of meaning to this piece. We can look at it from the big bang perspective and then I say you leave out the good things. We can look at it from the world perspective and again you leave out the good stuff, but then it is Halloween and the poem does indeed frighten. From a personal point of view behave this way and you will eventually die, alone, which we usually do anyways. Great write.
