The Call of the Moon

The Call of the Moon

A Story by Serenity

I can feel it, pulling on me, calling me home. It is worse when I am by the ocean, the waves crashing and echoing the moons desperate cry. It's light shines down bathing me in its full beauty. Caressing me, it whispers guiding me to the sea, guiding me home. I float, relaxing in the embrace of the sea, I let the water surround me completely. I sink below the surface, I feel at peace here, calm, I feel at home. After a while though I realize that the moon isn't just calling me here, it's guiding me further still, it's pulling me towards a place I care not to go. Although the ocean feels like home it will also be my death, for the current will carry me to the light, or it will leave me in the dark.
