Lost

This is a poem i wrote.

I lost My baby today

   Though she don't want me anyway

I lost My baby today

   And she don't want Me anyway

So I'm gon' drink this bottle

   And drown My sorrows away

 

I try to say goodbye

   But I get no reply

Sometimes it makes Me

   Want to lay down and just die.

 

I try to leave it all behind

   But such a great toll upon My mind

I wish I could kiss her for all of Time

   And I wish that she would still be Mine!

 

But this train keeps a rollin'
