Scars

My intend was not to demotivate anyone...it's just that I had a bad day and so, to relax I wrote this poem

Physical scars might remain forever
Might as well disappear with time
But the memories linked to them
Do they disappear?
Do they leave us to be by ourselves?

No, they stay.
The scars on the heart stay...
For as long as you live,
They run up to you every time.
They remind you what you really are.
They live inside you as long as the night comes and the darkness spreads its wings.
The emotional scars bit by bit eat you up.
Damages you, shatters you, hurt you till you are just a body walking around.
You become numb to human emotions.
You become numb to hope, that once kept you going.

Scars...they never just disappear.
They stay...for as long as you live,
For as long as the moon reflects the light on earth...while the darkness is just trying to eat us...yet again.
Once we are lost, we never come back again.
We are just a walking body with no emotions.
