My Depiction of You

My Depiction of You

A Poem by Tao

My first piece that I am posting, and first I have ever shared. Didn't know which one to choose so just chose the first I found.

I thought of a beautiful sunrise in a more yellow than orange hue
The awaking morning inspires, my soul comes hither and I drew
As I sketch and I paint, I hold my breath and nearly faint
I'm focused so tight on this beauty that I hold on to
But I can never describe, or perfectly portray my depiction of you

Author's Note

Open to all critique, I don't really read other poems or understand where different styles and techniques begin or end, so detail in your reviews would be appreciated.
