We Were Strangers Once

We Were Strangers Once

A Poem by Tate Viviano
"

A sad love poem.

"

We were strangers once

But I didn't want it to stay that way

So after some time we where strangers no longer

I wanted to be your lover

And after a time my wish was granted

We shared secrets long locked away

in places we dared never to go

We laughed together

We cried together

Then one day you decided our time was up

You cut and left me to bleed

I stitched up my wounds

and tried to move on

But there is a question still looming in my mind

We were strangers

Why are we strangers now?

Love the part where you had to stitch up your own wounds. It truly captures the essence of being alone, of having to survive on your own. Very fascinating poem.
