Sweet Melody

Sweet Melody

A Poem by Tayler
"

"A poem about how words just won't flow"

"

Come to me, my sweet melody.
Share your words with me,
Drown my thoughts, with words of hope,
Of pain, of love, of song.

Please come to me, my sweet melody,
Help me write the words I feel,
Help me convey my feelings and thoughts,
Into words that feel so real.

Sit on my shoulder, sweet melody,
And whisper your secrets to me,
Tell how to put feelings into my words,
Help me make my writing true.

Kiss me, my sweet melody,
Spread your ecstasy through me.
Control my body, so I can weave,
The words I long to write.

Why aren’t you here, sweet melody?
Why have you abandoned me;
You’ve left me here, choking on words.

Words…won’t come….
Tangled…together…

Strange phrases….
Broken meanings…
No pattern…no thought…
No poems….

Oh sweet melody, why?

I like this. I think all writers feel like this at some time or another. I feel that way more often than not. This poem seems to have found the right words though. The repetition of "sweet melody" is what makes this poem work well. The poem sounds like music, until the end when it's contrasted with a lack of rhythm. Good job :),
