The Balance of Nature

The Balance of Nature

A Poem by Tayler
"

Everything exsists with an equal but opposite force. Newton was so very right.

"

Light and dark,
The yin and the yang,
Fire and water,
Balance is everything.

The sun holds the earth in its fiery grip,
Towering over a blue sky,
Light reaches into the shadows
Until twilight falls.

The sun releases its hold over the earth,
And the moon steps in to command
As the sun fades taking light with it,
Shadows creep up from beyond.

A starry blanket is cast over the sky,
Millions of little nightlights,
Twinkling from far away
Friends to wish the sun goodbye

Fire is strong, quick,
And unpredictable,
Water is smooth, fluent,
And calm.

Together, existing as two opposing forces,
Working alongside to create harmony
One cannot be
Without the other.

When the scale is tipped,
The world is thrown into chaos,
Wildfires and floods,
The result of inequality.

Don’t tip the scale,
Let things be free,
Don’t tempt what shouldn’t be,
Let Balances be free.

Meh, not my best. Somehow it sounded better in my head and I wasn't able to get it down right on paper. Suggestions on how to improve?

YaY! I really like it. This is a great poem for adults and children. Its a great read, but there
are serious adult themes that can be taken from it as well. I don't mean to get all philisophical
because its fun to read. I dont think it could be any better. You've said it all, while leaving
the mind pregnant with thought!

too bad lotof people don't get that rule of nature... we try to control so much to make it more balnced on one side than the other when we really have no control at all. just let it happen, we're designed to take what is available and adapt to it. things never stay the same, even if they appear to.
