I waited for you

I waited for you

A Poem by Tina
"

Every time I go back to read this poem I get a tear in my eye.

"

I waited for you but you never came.
So many time we've met here , in this
Garden full of colors and perfumes.
Soft breezes caress me, shift my hair
Almost As if you were near. Yet I turn
And your not there. Your shadow haunts
This place. The flowers are faded.
And the leaves fall like rain. No longer
Do I smell their sweet scent.  My heart
Wilted with them .  I feel  the faint
Chill of winter, much like the absence
Of you. Many times have my tears wet
This ground.  A trail long tread burned
Into the grass. Leading me back to this
Memory of you. I wait there still my love..
But you never come.

Waiting for someone. I never did like. If they didn't come, made the heart more sad. I liked the honest tone and honest emotions in the words. Thank you Tina for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

A heartache of a poem Tina. Beautifully penned and brimful of the saddest sentiment. First of yours I have read. Welcome here.
