Just got a gag me with a pixie stick Romance short story

Picture  a couple in a park , on a bridge at night watching

New Year's Eve fireworks. Snow covered everything. 

 they faced each other a moment smiling, the short haired 

woman made sure the long haired woman was warm. Then she

pulls her closely and kisses her. 

" I'm glad you're here with me, my family loves you. " Said the

 short haired woman. "I'm happy to be here with you, I like them too. " 

they continue to watch the light display unaware I was watching.

 it was indeed a magical Night , fireworks illuminated the night sky.  

then the short haired woman took a small box from her pocket and

offered it to the other. I think I gasped in Unison with the long haired

 woman as she put her hand to her mouth knowing what was in the box. 

The short haired woman said "I've known you a long time, I love you, 

I think it's time we made this officially long-term. I want you to be the

 last person I see at night and the first person I see in the morning." 

I swooned as I would watching a romance on TV  and the other woman 

gave a joyful "yes!!" in tears the woman took off her glove and let the 

other slip the most lovely , unique ring I've ever seen onto her finger 

"oh it's so beautiful!" Said the long haired woman. " I couldn't just get

 any old ring for you, it had to be a special and amazing as you."

 they hugged and kissed then walked back to their car , leaving me on 

a dark cold bridge and as the finale ended  I left feeling touched and 

hoping one day I'd findthat special someone.

Reading your story with an LGBTQ plot without any tragedy was delightful. Seeing people being homophobic is disgusting, and the fact that you didn't put forward any homophobic thoughts was a very nice and likable gesture.
