Goodbye to you sweet love of mine
no glory days for us to find
Dusty memories of times gone by
wishing and hoping for relief inside
A silent screaming in my heart
some where, some how we drifted apart
The tides are changing and with them I
Goodbye to you sweet love of mine

Author's Note

This is my first attempt at sharing anything I've ever written. For that reason I have chosen a very simple and short little poem I wrote years ago. Just dipping my toes in the water so to speak.

What year did you write this?

A brief poem about romance, a fleeting one indeed, with a smooth rhyme scheme.
If this was years ago, and shorter poem, I wonder what else you have written.
