A Poem by Tracy Taylor

Short poem

Goodbye to you sweet love of mine
no glory days for us to find
Dusty memories of times gone by
wishing and hoping for relief inside
A silent screaming in my heart
some where, some how we drifted apart
The tides are changing and with them I
Goodbye to you sweet love of mine

Author's Note

Tracy Taylor
This is my first attempt at sharing anything I've ever written. For that reason I have chosen a very simple and short little poem I wrote years ago. Just dipping my toes in the water so to speak.

What year did you write this?

A brief poem about romance, a fleeting one indeed, with a smooth rhyme scheme.
If this was years ago, and shorter poem, I wonder what else you have written.

Thank you for sharing! :-)

I've never written for an audience before, just looking for a place where my voice may be heard. I write about life, I write short stories. Poetry and more. more..
