Pages from My Diary: That Night

A Poem by tania

24th November 2010

“It’s greed’s world”, she thought
and she cried and she told him.

He seemed distant
and he seemed stranger
and a little perplexed
in a little anger.

She picked up the scattered sunflowers
he had kicked her stacks of sunflowers
like a stranger unknown
he had appeared oblivious
to her laments about her bitter past
so she picked up her flowers
and brought them close to her heart.
Looked back
at the memories’ cove
and it tormented the girl inside.
This time she kept it inside.

That night
he held her
and he seemed like a stranger unknown
and she felt like that daughter
who has lost grip of her mother’s hand
and
that night
she saw it in her dream.
“I am Sin, creeping.
I am Sin, waltzing.
Waltzing around the sordid notions,
I creep into the avid souls.
Man plunges into the waters of malice
waters of greed and the shores unknown.
Humanity;
I play in thy demeanor and lurk in thy intentions.
What of the day of doom and resurrection
the world already burns in hell.”

With her own scream she was awaken.

An awe-inspiring and dark write. Great and a bit creepy of an ending, but thats a good thing.
