Where I cannot go

Where I cannot go

A Poem by Tejana
"

This is a poem based on a chapter in the book Einstein's Dreams. [I forgot which one]

"

There are two lovers

They are not asunder

Strange inventions hover

Loud noise of chatter

Daughters are not captured

Villages are not conquered

Families do not cower

In the face of great power

But it is not so

Where to, I cannot go

Time has a different flow

It is now my foe

For my daughter is dead

My house painted red

Blood splattered and spread

His presence they dread

The crops grow no more

The cattle is sore

Fear runs through their core

They cannot deplore

Remorseless order

Great wrath of anger

Declaring censure

A hopeless culture

They scream for mercy

No one hears their plea

Their despair is a sea

Forsaken fully
