![]() On The RoadA Poem by Temperance
It's time to pack and hit the road, Get in the spirit, get in the mode. Put on the smile and make the sale, At times I wish I could just wail!
A better life there must be, Out there for someone such as me. Oh, but alas, as mom would quip, "You made your bed; you sleep in it."
So off I go to make a buck, Close a deal with any such luck. Make 'em happy, make 'em say yes, Relieve some pressure, relieve some stress.
Home will be quite a relief, Though my stay will seem ever so brief. A chance to rest and refresh anew, A chance to relax, whatever I do.
