Skeleton

Skeleton

A Poem by Melinda
"

Things aren't always as grim as they may first appear.. but they usually are ..

"

Skeleton, why do you smile like that?
Are you bashful without your skin?
What are you trying to tell me now
through the teeth of your calcified grin?

What reasons have you with no eyes to see;
you, bereft of is very soul,

a shriveled heart in his cage of bone
his head, an empty, upturned bowl-

To laugh so gaily mocking death?
What do you know that I don't know?
Perhaps if you could you’d say to me
"There's a joy in letting go"

About
Everything I told you about myself is terribly outdated. In my own defense I'm just lousy at keeping in touch. P.S. I love you (giggle) more..

Writing
Cold, Man. Cold, Man.
