A FEW DRINKS

A FEW DRINKS

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

A MAN AND HIS DRINKS PARTY

"

I said
I was only
going to have

a few drinks
but things
don't always

go according
to plan.
I had a couple

of Cobras
with my curry,
three complimentary

brandys
after the curry,
then onto

the Black Jug
for a couple
of Fosters

& then finished
the evening
with a rum & coke

in Piries bar
(I said
I was only going.)

the magic and lure of 'just another drink' in company it is so much easier to keep going...

I like your son's poem, it is simple yet real, raw and honest .. Thank you for sharing xx
