NO MONKEY BUSINESS.

NO MONKEY BUSINESS.

A Poem by Terry Collett
"

ON THE MONKEY AND TYPEWRITER THEME

"

The saying goes
that if you give
a room full

of monkeys
a typewriter each,
sooner or later

they'll produce
the entire works
of Shakespeare.

Now I’m no
David Attenborough,
but I’m pretty sure

that they'd just
throw them around
& s**t

all over them,
& then
they'd only be

good enough
for writing songs
worthy of X Factor.
