Dance of Silence

Dance of Silence

A Poem by The They

Sometimes the most important things must remain unsaid...

Between the words we speak,

The ambiguity asserts itself

In the lack we try to conceal

Through the flow of conversation.

Here truth always lives anew:

Dancing from one lie to the next

Escaping the stability created

By arguments that struggle to their next conclusion.

Absorbed by these false summits,

Meaning slips away

As we look past its fleeting visage

Towards the endless climb ahead.

But these lies give understanding

About the truth they conceal:
About the falsity of our self-imprisonment
Within the differences we’ve created.

So when I tell you this love is infinite

Do not ponder the meaning of the words

But let them go in silence:

Free yourself and dance with me.

You are my favourite poet on this site. You're capturing such beautiful concepts and explaining their intricacies and their truths so fantastically. This little contemplation of Maya vs Lila, illusion vs reality, is simply magnificent. The truth that is concealed within the lie - the perfection that is concealed within the imperfection - the harmony that is concealed within the chaos - the love that is concealed within the fear - all these ideas you have captured and delivered so delicately and skilfully. I shall be reading all of your work. Keep it up and thank you.

this is the way of love......what should be the most simple and natural interaction is more often the most complex and frustrating.
