I deserve

I deserve

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar

I just feel like such a fool.

I was smiling thinking everything was smooth.

Then you hit me with the bad news.

Left me stuck not knowing what to do.

Should I give up or should I come talk to you.

No phones, just raw honest truth.

Let me look in your eyes to make this reasonable.

Maybe not because you run on excuses.

I can’t be confined in a “maybe love” or a “save me love.”

I’ve been there and quite frankly I’ve had enough.

I want a love so free the world gets jealous of how you love me.

I deserve more than the bare minimum of anything.
