Celestial Kiss

Celestial Kiss

A Poem by J.M. Santós
"

"
Simmer down my moon
I know the tides are high and mighty this season
Selfish and unwavering in their pull
And we both know well - our central gravities have found solace in each others presence
Our axis'
kissing as we rotate in perfect unison, rumbling about in empty space
Eventually, eternity is bound to make a promise through the red string that has tied herself to our hearts
The vastness of this endless and twinkling sky will bear witness to the way our constellations make love
Turning Velvet into suede
Grape vine into fine wine
And whimpers into hymns
Our throats so pregnant with confessions of admiration
That the locking of our lips was the only way to truly show one another how stupidly infatuated we've become..
