Crystal Tears

Crystal Tears

A Poem by Mark Daniels

You’ve never thought good of me,
And I’ve never thought bad of you,
You were always there for me,
And I was never there for you,
So I guess that is why,
My love for you is through.

So go cry your crystal tears,
Go live your life with your hopes and your fears.
It won’t matter that you lost me from your lucid dreams,
Because no one will notice your transparent tears of Crystalline.

We loved each other,
We hated each other,
I was holding you back,
But you were pushing me forward.

Stop holding back your diamond tears,
I no longer care about your prayers and your affairs,
I am waiting for your forgiveness at the gates of the End,
And when you are not there to greet me,
I will get what I have deserved all this time.

For not being there when you needed me,
Making you cry your solid, your transparent, your distinct little…
Crystal tears.
