Walls

Walls

A Poem by Mark Daniels
"

this is a poem i wrote about some of the phrases that were in my junior english teacher's classroom.

"

When I was a teen,

growing up asking questions like "Why?"

My junior year I met a guy,

he was my English teacher,

We all called him

JP.

Now, his room was one of a kind,

so many images, to see the wall was a

Miracle.

One day, it inspired me to write,

so here I Go Mr. P.

Believe,

Years of Teaching Experience when

the kids are all right because

Outside of poetry, there is no zen; Outside of Zen, there is no poetry.

Paradox in a Garden of sand and rocks my mind how he is

More than Teaching by the book.

Now look up and

Imagine. Brutal Honesty and

A Second Chance when

Zen meets

Livin` Large!, Because

We Were all Born to Run in

A time for the songs of love to

Stop the War against the Poor Because

Everything has been figured out, except how to live. and

your fuel for thought, MY fuel for thought to

Encourage a Dream is

the words in this room where

Your request for a Return to Childhood has been

GRANTED!!

Since

The magic is all around us.

the way we were, and when its gone,

Its gone.

Forever.

.....

It's Your Turn.
