My old friend

A poem about giving someone a second chance. Will submit to the contest "Second Chances"

A new beginning,

with my old friend.

Our arguments,

now come to an end.

I try to forgive and 

live a life full of trust,

but all of my work could be turned into dust.

I´ll write them a letter to apologise,

I hope for them to answer and be wise.

What might be going through my old friends head?

Will they take their second chance once the letter is read?

I remember the fun we had as friends,

I hope to see their smile again.

Yes, there must be a second chance,

for our friendship is strong and it will last!

This piece makes a great point. Friendships do ebb and flow and if the are the real kind, eventually we find each other again and many times the second time or third time around is even better. Nice writing.
