I'm Always with You

This is something that I wrote for a friend of mine. She has been going through a rough time and I wanted to write this so I can get these emotions off of my chest.

 

I’m Always with You

The home she comes from is broken

Mother and Father are no more

Brother and sisters have grown up

Her heart is strong though

She is determined to get what she wants

But sometimes the loneliness is too much

Tears fall and cries of aggravation pour out

Sharp feathers the color of black fall against her skin

Leaving her weak and lost in pools of saddened relief

It’s worse than any bad dream

As she closes her eyes imagining fields of falling stars,

A smile forms on her face when the feathers fly away

Even though it hurts

Something tells her to keep starting the fire

To continue watching the embers spark into the air

She whispered her secret to the world

But nobody listened

Then she screamed to an angel

With all of the energy she had left

The angel was fuming when the girl screamed

“Why?” The angel asked

“Why do you harm yourself so?”

No answer came from the girl

So the angel cried for her

Stirring up the wind and making perilous waves in the seas

When the angel’s uproar was through

A light of love came over her

And she shared it with the broken girl

“Never harm yourself again.

The darkness you have lived in will wane.

I am here for you.”

Said the angel

Slowly the girl opened her eyes

Only to find that her angel had gone

Then from somewhere in the skies

Words rang into her ears

“I’m always with you”

This poem is so beauitful that what doesn`t kill you can only make you strong. Pain is just a place, just like heartbreak is just a thought. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE NO MATTER WHAT NAME YOU SAY. Good write.

This is absolutely breathtaking! So much power and strength, amid a life filled with despair and chaos.

I believe in guardian angels. They watch over us and protect us, even when we have given up on ourselves.

They still believe.
