The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by TheOther

Live the lie you like the most.

Today, tomorrow, forever.

The lie that makes you happy.

The lie that makes everyone happy.

Hide your face behind the mask

It has been made for you to wear.

It is the law and you shall obey,

you should be wearing it everyday!

Don’t forget to put up a good show

Nothing pays off as much as good applause.

Don’t forget to flash a smile,

to remind everyone how beautiful you are.

Walking among the people with the masks.

Those people that can only lie.

Those people whom their real face I’ll never see.

Questioning what they hide behind those masks.

Questioning what I hide behind mine...

Another masterpiece!!

Art of concealing- or deceiving is the toughest!

People sometimes had to hide something from themselves. It's when we need silence and isolation...we try to hide by wearing our mask.
Being too transparent will not always give us peace. Sometimes being an open book makes you open for more criticisms.
We have the same concept in this piece with my CONCEALMENT, one of my early works here.
Thanks, Christina.
