Opted Not For Oblivion

Opted Not For Oblivion

A Poem by PearlPoet

Oh my Heavenly Dove,

with the wreaths of new beginning

you have returned to my rivulet

and once again

your sweet blooming delight

floods the air with ceaseless sonnets.

Lip singing angels flutter around

your glittering sphere ,

and one by one,

filling up the vacant seats

in my soul

 of nights and days.

And I feel,

this fond Bliss,

as it bounds me,

anchors me to your rose-tinted breath again,

as immaterial dreams are becoming

materialized heartbeats...

Illusions slowly surrender

within the palm of reality

to mold you into a beautiful lover

upon my stony ground of existence...

oh, and how I feel this rising within me,

as my soul keeps opening and opening

its effulgent wings,

unbinding my heart from the monotone gravity,

to turn me into your Sunrise,

and meet your spirit on Heaven's playground

Faith has priced my endless labor

with love...

And these imploring arms

that once was enfolded in lamenting lullabies

now able to brake the mirror of despair

to reach out and far beyond!

oh, I am revived

from the thousands of ashes of once swaying arms,

from the wounds of lacerating words

as they smooth off

into your nourishing flames...

 I am starting to heal.

Free and affluent with mirth

as I am watching a New Horizon springs...

And by

knowing how to love,

to be

competent to feel love,

I have no longer

opted for oblivion!

Romantic, blissful, lamentable in bitter sweet tones, rising with new horizons and then competently opting out of oblivion. A splendid poem...:)...............

I can't stop re-reading this magnificent work of art of yours! There’s so much to take in it!!!!
After such an experience how can someone opt for oblivion?! Just the thought of that hurts…
Please, write more!

I will! Can't stop coming here...
Please do. Thank you.
This actually has the feel of the Song of Solomon, so rich is the language and choice of descriptive prose. Nicely written.

Thank you so much for drifting by at my poem... Glad you enjoyed your stay...
i have felt this...nice description of giving love another chance...finally finding someone we can trust, who actually returns the love...makes us feel special..instead of the one-sided love that often happens when we give and give, get nothing in return, feel disillusioned and finally give up on love.

nicely done.
