Saints And Sinners

Saints And Sinners

A Poem by Chaos Stone
"

Is this what the future brings?

"
Saints and sinners
Commit this deicide
With a man made, apocalypse
The coming ecocide
Spreading its famine, worldwide

There will come a time
When all humanity, has died
From self-inflicted, genocide
Our children are born, to witness
Mankind’s slow suicide
A faceless generation, questioning why
Paying the price
With a future denied

Saints and sinners
Commit this deicide
With a man made apocalypse
The coming ecocide
Spreading its plague, worldwide

No more wondering eyes
To gaze contemplatively, at the sky
Never another, baby’s cry
Only silence left behind
On a world without dreams, to realize
This soulless Earth will rise
By the hand, of our own demise

Saints and sinners
Commit this deicide
With a man made, apocalypse
The coming ecocide
Spreading its war worldwide

Saints and sinners
Commit this deicide
With a man made, apocalypse
The coming ecocide
Spreading its death, worldwide

With an open mind, and caring heart
The blind, can lead the sighted
The crippled, can head the start
Celebrate, the wrongs we’ve righted
Hand in hand, on a world united

A powerful poem. Open the door to a good discussion. A old wisdom. "For every good. There is a bad done also." With old age I can see the combination of both in all decisions. Saint and sinners. Most of us will play both. No weakness in this outstanding poem. Thank you for sharing.

"Every Saint has a Past
Every Sinner, a Future"

^Came to my mind as I read. Excellent execution on the tone of the piece; very despairing and "The Children of Men" -ish in the first stanzas.
The last stanza is very thought-provoking as well.
Excellent penning. :)
