I write and wonder
are you reading this
do you read it as i write
do you whisper the words
in my ears to place on paper

Are you reading this
does it even matter
i send emails to you still
i can't stop talking to you
my heart still feels you near

As you sit in heaven
do you read the emails I send
can you feel the words that flow
somehow I think you do see
I wish you could respond

Do you know how much I miss you
Are you feeling my aches
are you missing me as I miss you
Are you reading this poem
are you there?

I feel the sadness...of missing someone who could not be with you for a moment. But still there's a hope of his presence, feeling the same way as you do...though he is not there physically.
