Untold among the stair

Privacy in the bedrooms

Secrets fill the air

Crying in the nursery

No one seems to care

Tantrums in the playroom

Among the little chairs

Family separated

Nightmarish love affair

Fighting in the courtroom

Hearts broken everywhere

 

Rough rock walls steady

Rough hewn wood supports

Faded tile  foundation

Within a  castle of many dreams

 

Laughter in the kitchen

Dances among the stair

Giggles in the bedrooms

Songs fill the air

Cooing in the nursery

Joyous without a care

Laughter in the playroom

Among the little chairs

Family brought together

A perfect love affair

Happiness in the courtroom

Hearts healing everywhere

 

Build your castle wisely

Piece by piece and heart by heart

A building is worth nothing

Without the love in its heart.

My thoughts when writing were more in comparison of those that have everything materialistically perfect and yet the family within the home is broken beyond repair while another run down home rough looking throughout is filled with joy and love not worried about the materialistic things.

So... the family were born into... and the one we create as our own. That's one of its feeling to me. I like the play between the two, as comparison, starting in one, then learning to create the other. Nice echo of memory and times past contained within the piece. Thank you for some of your story.
