Red

Red

A Poem by TheSecretAuthor

The light.
It's blinding me
Red.
Flash.
Who was that?
Put the kettle on boil, dear.
Help me!
Scream.
Don't kill me just yet.
Sorry.
More Red.
Flash.
Red.
Red.
Red.
Help.
Close the door.
Help me out.
Shh.
Are you okay?
Red?
I'm leaving now.
Dark.
The sun is setting.
Wake up.
Red.
Feed the shark.
She's done now.
Red.
Answer me, Red.

Red. Not a color, but this life. It's drowning.
Did I scare you yet?

I loved the imagery in this poem, great job. It has a really good flow, I love the single word lines. It really works in this poem and makes it very powerful. Keep writing!!
