Silent is my Love

it was written for the man who would one day betray my heart, but at the time I wrote this for him, I knew not that heartache was in my future.

Silent is my love,
it speaks only in my heart.
I yearn to shout it,
from the roof tops,
from the mountains,
to the seas.

 

I want to paint it upon billboards,
write it in the skies,
I want to stop every person I see
and say,
See that man there?
I love him and he loves me.

 

Yet silent is my love for him
as his is for me.
Two hearts separated
by a galaxy of stars,
yet bound together
by the love in our souls.

 

One day will bring us,
the joy of joining our hands,
And the sweetness of our breaths
as they mingle in our kiss,
will match only to,
the passion in our heated caress.

 

My hopes, my dreams,
they all lie with him.
I must be patient, I must not falter
I must be strong,
though,
Silent is my love,
it speaks only in my heart.
