You were.

You were.

A Poem by Brandon Bretsnyder

You were my best friend
But all you did was pretend
You said that you'd always be there
But when I needed you the most, you were nowhere
Just know that if you ever come running back to me
You already lost your opportunity
You were my mother
You made me feel like a bother
I wanted your love
But all you would do is push and shove
You don't even deserve to see me
To me, you're not even apart of this family
You were my Princess
I would've came to you in distress
You said you loved me but you lied
You only stayed because I almost committed suicide
That really hurt me
In ways you couldn't see
People don't understand my pain
This pain is starting to make me go insane
They don't even care
They aren't even aware
If I was to die
Nobody would cry
